THE TASTINGS ARE FUN AND INFORMATIVE PRESENTED IN CLOTHING THAT FITS THE THEME/TASTING. THEY CAN BE COMBINED WITH DRINKS AND SNACKS AND EVEN A DINER.
 
JENEVER TASTING
 
For anyone who likes to know more about the Dutch “jenever”, the history and the distillation process. What is the difference between young and old genever? Why did they drink genever traditionally ? What was there before; the English Gin or the Dutch jenever? Then on to tasting four different genevers: young and old genever, grain genever and “korenwijn”..
 
LIQUER TASTING
 
Liqueurs have their origin in the golden age, the period a period full of superstitions, strange folk customs and witchcraft. Spices were added to medicinal witch drinks and became the old Dutch liqueurs, all with their own beautiful story. This tasting includes “roses without thorns”, “Bridal tears” and “Hansje in the basement” to try, together with their beautiful stories..
 
COMBINATION GENEVERS AND LIQUORS
 
Liqueurs are often appreciated more by the ladies and genevers more by the men in the group, so a bit of both is a good idea for a mixed group! The liqueurs are more sweet so we keep that till the end.

CHEESE TASTING
 
The cheese tasting is done by a girl wearing a traditional Volendam costume. After an explanation of the process of cheese making and importance for the cheese industry in Netherlands, the tasting starts. You will taste the change between young and old cheese, but also goat's cheese, sheep cheese etc. At the cheeses will also be different types of mustard to taste the cheeses that complement. And also, of course, there is a clog dance! With anyone from the group.
 
WINE TASING
 
A wine tasting is not only delicious but above all very instructive. The wines are carefully selected and usually come from the smaller wine growers. Learn how to look, smell, roll, sip and taste. Learn about the difference of wine and champaign, and what is the most expensive wine in the world?
 
BEER TASTING
 
During the beer tasting, all facets of the beer are covered;  beer through the centuries, the brewing process, the breweries in Amsterdam, the beer types and how to taste the beer. The beers are served in small tasting glasses. On the table there is water to neutralize the taste in the mouth. This way, the different beers are tasted best.
 
TEA TASTING
 
A great workshop for in the daytime! One time tea was more expensive than wine or genever. The history of tea comes to life and many questions are answered, like is the word “High Tea” actually correct? What is Earl-Grey-tea exactly? How one drank tea in China? During the explanation, tea in different flavors in special tea pots are on the table to taste and enjoy.
 
 

Prices and info:

  • All tastings costs € 18.50 including VAT p.p. and products for tasting. There is no room rental or other fees will be charged and it is done in a private room. The room depends on the size of the group
  • The tasting workshops can be done in 5 different languages ​​; Dutch , English, German , French, Spanish and Italian
  • The tasting takes about 45 minutes to an hour (also shorter if there is little time)
  • Minimum groupsize is 20 persons. If less then 20 you pay the price of 20 persons
  • All tastings are done by a professional.
